Do you have any gift ideas for a beginner who wants to learn to write picture books? Are there online classes in this? (I looked at the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators but doesn't seem there are any classes coming up...)
Hmmmm, I don't know of any How To books about picture books but the best way to learn is by reading them! I would gift them a few stellar ones (recent ones--The Cat in the Hat and Where The Wild Things Are aren't helpful) and start there! They can get pricey so it's fine to gift some paperbacks.
