Concussions, no matter the severity, take their toll. I got one when the side of a surfboard hit my head. I was out of it for a few days. The first day, not responding to anything properly and wandering around with a lost look on my face (I didn’t know I had concussion, I just thought I had a terrible headache from the surfboard and so I drove to work the next day-thankfully it was only a five minute drive). It was when a coworker asked me if I was ok and I told them what happened that they were like “you idiot, you’ve probably got a mild concussion. You should be at home.) Ops!

Glad you’re on the mend. Take care of yourself 🤗.

Oh my goodness, Kate! Relieved to read you are okay. My mom always says, "you never know from one minute to the next," and it's so true. Thanks for sharing all this. As someone who does live with a chronic illness, I also really struggle with the concept of rest and this sentence of yours -- "The universe is going to do what it’s going to do—and all you can do make sure you’re taking care of yourself the best you can." -- really spoke to me. Take care.
