As someone who has always, always, ALWAYS hated being a bother of people (even in high school, choosing to walk 2 hours home from the theatre instead of taking an offered ride after rehearsal), I needed to hear this--in case I do get agented someday. :-)
I would love to have an agent and will soon be on the lookout for one to help find a publisher for my novel. I imagine it will be difficult to find one.
