Alexander Chee’s How to Write an Autobiographical Novel is a powerful and beautifully written collection. His essays are deeply personal yet universally resonant, offering profound insight into the craft of writing and the complexities of identity. A must-read for any aspiring writer.

Now I just need something light after all that depth—maybe a quick round of the Basket Random game https://basketrandom.org to reset my brain!

I know it well. However, I can ignore this spiral in my own writing since I'm quite skilled at providing an excuse for not https://slope3.io writing.

I wish I were lying when I say I have written two novels except for their last chapter. "This book's great," I think, "I'll take a week off so I'm fully charged to nail the ending." One of those weeks is now in its 14th month. The other has topped 14 years. For the exact reasons you're talking about here. Alack... How about a vaccine for self-doubt?
